Bequests

Bequests
Joe and Anna have been faithful supporters of their community. They believe including their charitable giving fund at the Community Foundation in their estate plans is a great way to continue this support.

Joe: Anna and I believe the Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines is truly helping others. It is important to us to partner with them to make a difference. That is why we have opened a charitable giving fund at the Community Foundation.

Anna: But we wanted to do more. Joe and I have been careful and have been able to save enough for retirement. We plan to be generous with family, but we also have the ability to be generous with charity.

Joe: After talking it over, we decided to leave a gift in each of our wills through a bequest. Our attorney took the simple language available from the organization and included a bequest in my will as well as Anna's to our charitable giving fund. We are delighted that our charitable wishes will be fulfilled as the Community Foundation distributes the gifts to the causes we care about after our lifetimes.
